Dr Suman Kumar, ENT and Allergy Specialist, Panchkula has been invited by British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology Society to share his research work of finding newer options to control allergies. In this research, he has been using sea water nasal irrigation for controlling nasal allergies. Sea water has large number of salts and high salt content helps to clear the sinuses and nasal secretions by the process of Osmosis. Magnesium present in sea water helps to control swelling of mucosa and the nasal passages open up in allergic rhinitis. In his other research, he has used Methotrexate salt in lower dosages to control recurrent Nasal Polyps.
