1 I am an 18-year-old man. I have been masturbating excessively, almost 5 to 6 times a day and not due to sexual desire but mostly due to stress. Especially during exams. I feel a lot of anxiety, restlessness and cannot concentrate until I masturbate. It helps me relax and calm down. I want to know if this is normal? I don’t drink or smoke.
The manner in which you are using masturbation is truly overdoing it. Please do not depend upon it to relax yourself. There are certainly better ways. Take the help of your teachers and parents to deal with your anxiety.
2 I am a 33-year-old woman and have an eight-year-old son. My husband insists we have sex without protection but I used to take contraceptive pills. Is it harmful for my body? Will it affect my period?
It’s difficult to comment as you have not mentioned what kind of contraceptive pill you are taking; whether it is the morning-after pill or the low dosage hormone tablet taken for 21 days. A gynecologist will help. Since you already have an 8-year-old son, you could consider insertion of a copper T, which probably would be ideal.
